Description: Solaborate is a startup company and is seeking a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspect of marketing while working for a big and ambitious project. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Update and maintain Solaborate social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn updates
Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter
Creating marketing content materials
Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and PR
Assist in execute all e-marketing promotional activities.
Assist in develop and implement e-marketing plans and strategies to meet agreed company objectives.
Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings
Assist in concept ideas for newsletters, flyers, posters, video etc.
Managing all press activity and pro-active PR campaigns to maximize media coverage through editorial, listings and advertising.
Overall responsibility for the Solaborate website, its content and use of emarketing.
Supporting and managing a marketing team.
Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel.
Required Skills and Experience:
Attending University degree in Marketing or business- related degree or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
Experience in all aspects of developing and executing marketing strategies, concepts and practices to meet company objectives.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing plan and strategies.
Technical marketing skills.
Proven experience in customer and market research.
Relevant product and industry knowledge.
Experience with relevant software applications.
Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel).
An effective communicator, both written and oral in English
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with Coworkers and costumers
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Persuasiveness, adaptability, innovation and decision-making.
Able to work well under pressure.
Collaboration and self-motivated.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English
Start Date: Position open until filled, requires 3 month commitment.
Hours: 20-25 hours/week
Compensation: This is an Unpaid/Volunteer internship
